Midland is a great brand but all are made in china so not much different. You will need VOX or voice operated relay to automatically talk/listen and get the mfgrs. headset to go with it. Try eBay

if it is a 4-pin, try telex, they make great headsets, but they are heavy, so I dont know if you are going to be moving around a lot or not

also just google "headsets" its the connection you are looking for, and 2-ways seem to be pretty standard
