Question by jay c: Two way radios problem?
I have a peltor lite com basic headset which i require for work, they are on pmr 446 with 8 channels, however I bought a handheld binatone 200 terrain which is also pmr 446.

The problem is I can only receieve transmission on the binatone, but cannot send transmission to the peltor headsets.

They are both on the same channel, so I cant understand why they wont work two ways

i am not familiar with those radio models but right off i can think of a couple reasons to check, does either model have a tone squelch that must be set to the proper tone frequency? Another possibility is that one of the radios could have an offset for use with repeaters, in which case it would transmit on one frequency and receive on another,then it would have to be set to simplex or have both radios set to the same offset but in opposite directions
